The land

Oak, pine, and the sound of nothing much.

Harmony Oaks is in Hernando County, on the stretch of Florida coast that never got built up. Springs, hardwood hammock, two lane roads, and an hour of distance from Tampa doing most of the work.

Where it is, roughly.

We name the county and not the road. Our family lives here with the animals, so the address stays off the internet. If you end up staying with us you will get directions from us directly.

About an hournorth of Tampa
About ninety minuteswest of Orlando
Twenty minutesfrom the Gulf

To Joe: confirm these three distances before this page is public. They are estimates from Brooksville, not measured from the property, and they are the kind of small claim a guest checks.

What is actually out there.

This section is where the property gets described honestly: the trees, the water, the animals, what you can walk to and what you can hear from the porch.

To Joe: this is the section that needs you most. Walk the property with a phone and talk through it, or send photos with a sentence each. Everything written here has to be something you can stand behind, so it is deliberately empty until you fill it.

The country around it.

The nature coast is state parks, spring runs, quiet water and small towns. Guests who want to leave the property have plenty of reasons to, and guests who never leave it will not feel like they missed anything.

To Joe: naming specific parks, springs and towns here would be good for search. Tell us which ones you would actually send a guest to and we will write them up rather than listing whatever is nearby.
